The Requirements
Denbighshire Council needed a vehicle tracking system that could also provide a two way messaging service between operational staff back at base and the vehicles themselves. In addition, they wanted a solution for their gully cleaning vehicles and the capability to map the location of the gully’s requiring monitoring across the county. Denbighshire also wanted to have digital forms included so their operatives could fill out the forms electronically and then send them ‘over the air’.The Solution
Trackyou have a complete gully cleaner solution available which can be mounted in-cab. By simply pressing a button, it is then possible to accurately map the location of the gullies within the county. Further options are then available, such as the option to confirm if the gully has been jetted, vacuumed or access to it is blocked.Trackyou also resolved the requirement for two way in-cab messaging with digital forms by using our MDT (Mobile Data Terminal) which is securely mounted within reach of the driver. In addition to the tracking of each vehicle, the combined solutions provided a powerful and feature rich solution that met with the exact requirements of the local authority.
The Outcome
Trackyou have provided an innovative solution that requires partnership and collaborative working with Denbighshire Council in order to achieve the desired outcomes. Our work on digital forms for vehicle safety checks was praised by operational staff for simplifying a drawn out paper based process for checking the safety of vehicles prior to them being used each day.
